Forensic Medicine (Regulations and Procedures) The aim of the course to 1- understand the basics of Forensic Medicine to recognize types of laws and their relation to medical practice, medico-legal aspects of health problems and the importance of preservation I of evidences of significance for legal procedures. Ability to medically document and describe different types of injuries, different types of asphyxia, differentiate between still birth and alive born. Death and post-mortern changes. Write medico-legal reports and death certificates that fulfill the whole medico legal requirements. Toxicology The aim of the course is to understand basic knowledge of Toxicology and Identifying the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features and complications of common life-threatening intoxications, determine essential skills in diagnosis and management plan for common poisoning cases. Recognizing the toxic plants and animal toxin: active principles, mode of action and adverse effect on livestock. Explain different types of mycotoxins and outline its mode of action. Assess toxicity due to different types of heavy metals and pesticide and how to deal with the cases.
