Animal and poultry Behavior The aim of the course is to understand the behavior of farm animals and birds, which help the avoiding stresses that exist in the animal environment. Animal and Poultry management The aim of the course is studying the possible ways for ensuring the proper animal care, avoiding the risk of the improper management practices on different farms. Environmental Hygiene & Pollution The course aims to: l-Provide basic knowledge on air and waterhygiene and pollution as well as environmental hygiene and sanitation. 2- Explains the component of different animal houses. Veterinary Hygiene & Preventive medicine The course aims to: 1-provide a core body of scientific knowledge concerning the science of hygiene, epidemiological basics, health of livestock. 2- understand the principals of disinfection of animal houses in presence and or absence of diseases. 3- Understanding the principles of biosafety in animal farms (cattle, buffalo, sheep, poultry, fish). Zoonoses (A) The course aims to: Provide the student with a clear definition of zoonoses, its impacts on livestock production, human health and socioeconomy, and with a brief concept on emerging and re-emerging zoonoses, Zoonoses surveillance and strategies for zoonoses control. Zoonoses (B) The course aims to: 1- Provide the student with a complete knowledge on the occurrence and epidemiology of selected zoonoses including their etiology, source and modes of infections, clinical picture in animals and humans, diagnosis, treatment and control. 2-Explain the relative risks posed by zoonoses and how communicate this knowledge to our community.
